Slide viewing activity
As part of my B.Ed. internship, I had the opportunity to conduct a hands-on Science Slide Viewing Activity for students at the school. This activity was an enriching experience, not only for the students but also for me as B.Ed trainee, as it allowed me to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in science education.
The goal of the activity was to help students understand the structure of plant cells and fungi through direct observation. Under the guidance of the school science teacher proper instructions was given to the students. Then students prepared their slides on their own.
As an B.Ed trainee, conducting the Science Slide Viewing Activity was one of the most fulfilling aspects of my B.Ed. program. However I just helped the school science teacher in this but it was great learning experience for me. It was incredibly rewarding to see students excited about science, engaging with the material, and making connections between what they had read about in textbooks and what they were seeing under the microscope. The activity not only helped students develop a better understanding of plant cells and fungi but also sparked their interest in the microscopic world.
